Pearl Snap Hall Wedding!
This week, I’m doing nothing. Boy, what a treat. After four months of intense transitions, that never seemed to pause for a breath, I have a week where hopefully nothing big occurs. I’ve cleared my schedule of work, I have oodles of books I want to read, and might even venture outside into the heat! I’ve been finding my groove with school and work and kids…it’s actually been really awesome. My partner is the most supportive partner I’ve ever had and thus, everything feels relatively easy. It’s wonderful.
I even read an entire book last week. Actually, I read two in the last few weeks. The first was The Woman in Cabin 10 and I hated it. That writer needs to learn how to wrap up scenes, rather than dragging scenes out for pages and pages. And the ending was stupid AF. I threw it across the room when I finished and lamented my patience through the crappy writing.
HOWEVER, Lie to Me is one of my 2019 favorites thus far. Well written, lots of twists and an interesting take on character POV. Highly recommend this one! I’m currently plotting a story for NaNoWriMo this November, I’ve got an idea brewing.
On to why we’re here though!
I love themed weddings. So much. I’ve done Star Wars themed, Lord of the Rings, Dr. Who and weddings with special touches here and there for other themes. This one was SO FUN, I even bought my first bowtie, with Alice in Wonderland characters on it!
Christy and Steven reminded me a lot of Liz….and Steven LOL As I was helping Christy with some things, I told her so. Maybe it was the kids dressed up in outfits, perhaps it was the tiara, maybe it was the joy of the day…either way, I’m not complaining. It was such a fun day, even the guests got into it. Guest involvement is always a good play to make.
