So here we go…the new busy season is coming up fast and I *hope* I’m prepared. The fall busy season was a beast, especially while I was dealing with everything in my personal life. After each busy season, I take stock on what went wrong, what went right, what will be improved going forward. I’ve been in this business for seven years…adaptation and honest objective evaluation of my progress is the best way to be better!
So far, 2018 has been amazing. I’m still trying to figure out where I want to go from here. I actually really want to restart my Masters, but I also don’t know if I want to work another 40+ hours a week on writing. I have two novel ideas I want to start, but for some reason cannot make myself start haha I also want to get back into fitness…I’m almost there.
All in all, since Amsterdam, life has been pretty boring and I’m okay with that. My blogs are a bit lame, as a result, but honestly….after 2017’s insanity, a few months of easy peasy coasting is super awesome. I’ve been hyper-focused on my business since the beginning of the year and it feels good. Creatrix has always been there for me, through thick and thin. It feeds me, literally, as much as I feed it. It’s such an integral part of my soul at this point.
I just feel blessed at the amazing clients that have hired me thus far. Haileigh and Andrew are great examples of awesome people who trust me. We went down to South Congress and I was so pumped! I haven’t worked too much since my photographer workshop in January, so I enjoyed finding new ways to challenge myself. I especially loved trying to shoot the “I love you so much” wall art in a new way. The whole time, Haileigh giggled with Andrew, enjoying the prompts I gave. I can get my clients to be pretty silly, which is always fun to see what they come up with! I’m thrilled to do their wedding this fall! I simply cannot wait!
