Justin and Lauren’s Paniolo Ranch Wedding

July 11, 2018

This Paniolo Ranch Wedding is the bomb diggity!

2018 has been an odd year. I revamped how I’m doing business and I’m working less than I ever have. IT’S MAKING ME TERRIFIED. All of this free time to pursue other goals? *Brain explosion* So far, I’ve had time to start a stand up routine, begin writing a book, learn a little ASL and even learned the basic of meditation. Whaaaaaaat. I also just applied to earn a certificate to teach English as a foreign language, to tackle in the fall. THEN restart my masters in the winter.

Why are you doing this to yourself, Jenna? Great question, dear reader. First off, I’ve always held a pretty steady pace of goal setting and achieving. Except…this last year, I had pretty bad depression. Like the kind that doesn’t let you out of bed and cooking a simple microwaved meal is a large task. When you come out of that, you want to consume all of the good things in this world. I feel this urge to tackle EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED TO DO ALL AT ONCE. I had been so frustrated, laying in bed in my depression nook, consuming enough Wheat Thins to feed a whole country. HOWEVER, it was so needed. I was able to process my childhood and failed relationships, on a deep foundational level. Most people never receive that opportunity, so I’m really really grateful. AND I’M BACK! BETTER THAN EVER!

Now I’m turning my sights to the good things. It brings me to this wedding, this couple, this particular love party. First off, Lauren and Justin are simply the sweetest kind of love. It’s simple, appreciative and deep. You can tell by the way they look at one another, look at their family and look at their friends. It was a hot summer day in July, but you wouldn’t know it, by how happy everyone was. I loved the drive down to Boerne and although I got a speeding ticket on the way back, I still look at this gorgeous wedding with all of the feely good goods.

As always, the team really made this day shine:

Venue: Paniolo Ranch
Caterer: Heavenly Gourmet
Cake: Root Cellar Bakery
DJ: Innovative DJ (highly recommend, second time working with these guys!)
Guest DJ: DJ Shaynea
Hair and Makeup: Mistique Makeup
Florals: HEB (I know riiiight?)

Also, shout out to Andre, my second shooter! Make sure to check out Lauren’s bridal portraits at Mission San Jose!
