Quiet love. Have you ever seen it? Like, seen it in *action*? I thought I had…until these two. Occasionally, I see someone pause during the day and soak it in. Their eyes close, their body stills and you can almost see how time stands still for them. The Universe obliges and pauses in it’s eternal movement forward. It honestly doesn’t happen often though.
Tanya, however, was in the moment in all moments.
I saw her pause, time and time again. Eyes closes for eight seconds, a visage of peace in those moments. Those around her kept moving forward, but she was in the moment she chose to exist in. I never interrupted her…I just photographed around her. Hoping to get a glimpse of her joy, what moved her so. Their wedding day was more about just coming together, more than they clearly already were.
I also loved this wedding, because I was able to refer my old client Daley, as the wedding planner! It’s not often I get the joy of working with a client while also photographing one, so I loved it! AND Brian came, which was awesome. He comes to weddings occasionally (and probably a lot more now that I freakin’ broke a finger!) and it’s nice. He carries my shit, tells me I’m pretty and drives me home when I’m utterly exhausted.
So shoutout to my amazing clients, the ones that make my business not feel like more work than it is. 2018 is shaping up to be an incredible year and I’m simply focusing on gratitude, which is always where the magic happens.
